Julie Fife '04 Defends Ph.D. Dissertation at Northwestern University
Julie Fife '04 will be defending her Ph.D. dissertation on April 24, 2009 at Northwestern University. A message from Julie follows.
Hi Family and Friends!
I hope this email finds all of you very well in 2009.
As most of you know, it is about time for me to be done with my many years of school, and the time has finally come! If you can't tell, I am SO SO SO excited.
My PhD defense date has been set:
Friday, April 24 at 9:30 in the morning
Now, for those of you who don't know, this is a public defense, meaning anyone who wants to sit in on it is more than welcome. On top of that, I chose a Friday so we, meaning anyone who wants to be or was planning on being a part of this exciting time for me, can celebrate over the weekend! There will be no 'graduation' of sorts for this part of my education--just this special day/weekend.
So this email is really just an FYI and a way to share my exciting news. Of course, if you are planning on coming to Chicago, please let me know so I can give you more details about the festivities/schedule of events.
